Future Plans

Shaping an Inclusive Tomorrow

At Shubham Viklang Vikas Sansthan, every milestone achieved marks the beginning of a new journey.
While we take pride in our accomplishments over the past three decades, we remain deeply aware that thousands of persons with disabilities across Bihar and neighboring states still need support, opportunities, and recognition.

Our future plans focus on expanding our reach, strengthening our programs, and building sustainable systems that empower every individual to live a life of dignity, equality, and independence.

Expansion of Educational Services

We aim to broaden our educational initiatives so that every child with a disability, especially in rural areas, has access to quality learning.

Planned Actions:

  • Establishing new inclusive schools in underserved districts.

  • Upgrading existing infrastructure with smart classrooms, tactile labs, and e-learning modules.

  • Expanding Braille Press capacity to meet the growing demand for accessible learning material across states.

  • Launching digital literacy programs in partnership with universities and government bodies.

B.Ed. Programme in Special Education

To bridge the shortage of trained professionals in the disability sector, Shubham plans to initiate a B.Ed. (Special Education) course in collaboration with recognized universities and rehabilitation councils.

Objectives:

  • Develop a new generation of special educators, therapists, and counsellors.

  • Create employment opportunities for youth interested in the disability field.

  • Build a Centre for Human Resource Development in Disability Studies at our Muzaffarpur campus.

Skill Development & Livelihood Programs

Economic independence is the foundation of true empowerment.
Shubham plans to expand its vocational and skill development programs to help youth with disabilities gain employable skills and start sustainable businesses.

Proposed Focus Areas:

  • Digital services, Braille production, and accessible publishing.

  • Tailoring, embroidery, and handicraft-based self-employment.

  • Computer hardware, e-commerce, and basic accounting for small business management.

  • Establishing Skill Development Centres in partnership with government skill missions and corporate CSR programs.

Rehabilitation for Mentally Challenged Children

Recognizing the growing need for support services for children with intellectual disabilities, Shubham is preparing to establish a Rehabilitation & Learning Centre for Mentally Challenged Children.

Planned Facilities:

  • Early intervention and special education units.

  • Speech, occupational, and behavioral therapy support.

  • Parent counselling and home-based training modules.

  • Vocational units for older children and adolescents.

This centre will become a model for holistic care and social integration of children with multiple challenges.

Infrastructure Development

Our dream is to make Shubham a state-level centre of excellence for disability inclusion and rehabilitation.
To achieve this, we plan to:

  • Construct new classroom blocks, therapy halls, and residential units.

  • Expand our “Atithi Grih” guest facility for visiting professionals and trainees.

  • Develop a digital resource hub for online Braille and audio content distribution.

  • Introduce green and accessible campus features — including ramps, solar lighting, and sensory gardens.

Research, Advocacy & Awareness

We plan to establish a Research and Policy Unit that studies the social and economic conditions of persons with disabilities in Bihar.
This will help design evidence-based interventions and contribute to national dialogues on inclusion.

Additionally, we aim to:

  • Conduct annual disability summits and awareness drives.

  • Publish impact reports, case studies, and policy briefs.

  • Launch media campaigns to change public perception and promote inclusion.

Sustainability & Resource Generation

To ensure the long-term sustainability of our services, Shubham will develop income-generating initiatives that align with our mission.

Plans Include:

  • Producing and marketing Braille stationery and accessible learning tools.

  • Establishing a training-cum-production unit for assistive devices.

  • Launching a volunteer and donor engagement portal to attract long-term supporters.

These efforts will help Shubham reduce dependency on external funding while creating livelihoods for persons with disabilities.

Our Vision for the Next Decade

By 2035, we envision:

  • A network of inclusive education centres across North Bihar.

  • 100% accessibility in our learning and therapy infrastructure.

  • Employment generation for at least 1,000 differently-abled youth.

  • A self-sustained organization driven by innovation, compassion, and accountability.
